Pieces of a Puzzle

I know it’s been a long time since I have given an update to those who follow my website. I am still writing. Unfortunately, with the limitations of space on my free website at this time and of instagram , most of my writing sharing takes place on my Facebook Page The Written Journey.

I still am working on a few projects, but the timing I am constantly reminded is not mine. The Lord brought to mind this puzzle I colored and drew a few years ago.

The next picture are just two store bought puzzles in my house. You know what the difference is between the personally colored and designed one versus the store bought? The personal one, I know what the picture is and how it goes together, because I personally created the design.

The store bought one takes more time because you have to figure out how everything fits together. The process to find two pieces that fit can take a while. It can take hours, days, or months to complete.

My heart feels restless at times, thinking that these projects should be finished by now, but the Lord reminds me that when I think something may be a sprint , God may see as a marathon. He knows the end result.

This may seem like a poor comparison, but the Lord reminded me that Jesus walked this earth. Many encounters , steps of obedience that impacted people long before the struggle of the cross. The cross was the ultimate reason why He came in the flesh, but through His 30- 33 years roughly of life, had several moments of obedience through prayer, teaching, and miracles etc.

Years ago, the Lord really impressed on my heart the importance of “The Little Things.”

Based from the Scripture,

Matthew 25:19-23

19 “Now after a long time the lord of those servants came, and settled accounts with them. 20 He who received the five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents. Behold, I have gained another five talents in addition to them.’

21 “His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

22 “He also who got the two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents. Behold, I have gained another two talents in addition to them.’

23 “His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things. I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

John 6:1-15

1 After these things, Jesus went away to the other side of the sea of Galilee, which is also called the Sea of Tiberias. 2 A great multitude followed him, because they saw his signs which he did on those who were sick. 3 Jesus went up into the mountain, and he sat there with his disciples. 4 Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was at hand. 5 Jesus therefore, lifting up his eyes and seeing that a great multitude was coming to him, said to Philip, “Where are we to buy bread, that these may eat?” 6 He said this to test him, for he himself knew what he would do.

7 Philip answered him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may receive a little.”

8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to him, 9 “There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are these among so many?”

10 Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in that place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. 11 Jesus took the loaves, and having given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to those who were sitting down, likewise also of the fish as much as they desired. 12 When they were filled, he said to his disciples, “Gather up the broken pieces which are left over, that nothing be lost.” 13 So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with broken pieces from the five barley loaves, which were left over by those who had eaten. 14 When therefore the people saw the sign which Jesus did, they said, “This is truly the prophet who comes into the world.” 15 Jesus therefore, perceiving that they were about to come and take him by force to make him king, withdrew again to the mountain by himself.

The boy was just willing to place what little he had in the Hands of Who could make a bigger impact than that boy might of been able to imagine. All the boy did was share what could, and God did the rest, all because of a heart willing to obey.

So I don’t know what may happen between point A and B , and I may not know how all the pieces of each project will look like in the end, but some pieces of each project are slowly coming together piece by piece. In the end, I just hope I am obedient as much as possible in each step taken.

I appreciate all prayers , as I seek to use my passion for writing as the Lord leads. He is reason I even have anything worth writing about.
