Today’s topic: Angels/ Demons
The world thinks angels are babies that were miscarried or children/adults who have died.
The Bible does not use humans and angels interchangeably. The angels were created by God , but Salvation through Jesus Christ does not apply to them. That’s why there is no redemption or second chance for them after Satan/ Lucifer pridefully wanted God’s throne. Some angels rebelled with Satan and became fallen angels or demons. Satan and the demons punishment will be Hell, a place never created for mankind.
Do people have guardian angels? The Bible never scripturally says individuals have an assigned angel. They do protect at times , but only at God’s command. Angels are never our dead loved ones, because angels do not have the same relationship with God as humans do. Angels are messengers at God’s call who worship Him, engage in spiritual warfare, and whatever else God asks of them. At some points of scripture they were temporarily allowed some human form. No angels are ever named or referred to as female. Always seem to be in the male form when mentioned in scripture.
Daniel 10:12-14
Then he said to me, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel; for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard. I have come for your words’ sake. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; but, behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me because I remained there with the kings of Persia. 14 Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision is yet for many days.”
Hebrews 1:13-14
13 But which of the angels has he told at any time,
“Sit at my right hand,
until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet?”*
14 Aren’t they all serving spirits, sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?
Isaiah 6:1-8
In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple. 2 Above him stood the seraphim. Each one had six wings. With two he covered his face. With two he covered his feet. With two he flew. 3 One called to another, and said,
“Holy, holy, holy, is Yahweh of Armies!
The whole earth is full of his glory!”
4 The foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. 5 Then I said, “Woe is me! For I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of unclean lips, for my eyes have seen the King, Yahweh of Armies!”
6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar. 7 He touched my mouth with it, and said, “Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away, and your sin forgiven.”
8 I heard the Lord’s voice, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?”
Then I said, “Here I am. Send me!”
We do not become angels when we die, because we cannot become that which we will judge. Angels see God as Master , never having the privilege to call Him Abba Father. Humans who accept Jesus as Lord and Savior are the only Children of God. There is a difference between being a Creation of God, versus a Child of God.
1 Corinthians 6:1-3
1 Dare any of you, having a matter against his neighbor, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? 2 Don’t you know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Don’t you know that we will judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?
Even demons believe and know God and Jesus are real and shudder . Humans are the only ones with free will, a choice to follow God or not. Humans are the only ones of all of creation that deny the existence of their Creator.
James 2:19
You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe—and shudder.
Let’s please stop spreading the falsehood of our loved ones being angels. Stop giving them God-like qualities because you think they are more powerful now that they are dead. It’s just not true. Your loved ones are not your protectors . You don’t need to pray to anyone who is dead, in fact God says don’t!
Why do you think Mary, Michael or anyone else is a better intercessor than Jesus, God’s Son? Scripture says He’s the only intercessor / mediator between God the Father and man.
1 Timothy 2:1-6
1 I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all, the testimony at the proper time,
What would happen to your prayers , if you spent your whole life asking protection or help from someone who claimed Jesus as Lord with words , but never accepted His leadership? If they ended up being in Hell, they cannot even help themselves…. Let alone you. Don’t make angels or any dead human an in-between to reach God. Pray to Himself yourself. Intercession for prayer can happen between friends who still are alive is possible, but dead is a different story.
Those who are dead are in the realm of eternity and their priorities are different. They are either worshiping/ serving Jesus in Heaven, or they are in Hell separated from Jesus forever. Don’t be seeking help from angels or the dead. Seek the Lord for your protection and help, and let Him intervene. Your loved ones may not have 24 hour access to your affairs . We are not guaranteed that they see anything on earth while in eternity. God allows or does not allow such according to whatever He chooses. Don’t make them your idol, replacing God and giving them credit for His involvement in your life. Angels do not know or understand everything that the Lord is doing. They are just obedient whenever He calls. God’s relationship to humans is completely different from how He interacts with angels.
1 Peter 1:10-12
10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets sought and searched diligently. They prophesied of the grace that would come to you, 11 searching for who or what kind of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them pointed to when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow them. 12 To them it was revealed that they served not themselves, but you, in these things, which now have been announced to you through those who preached the Good News to you by the Holy Spirit sent out from heaven; which things angels desire to look into.
Read God’s Word for yourself and don’t just take the world’s / or anyone else’s word for it. Seek the Truth for yourself.
Revelation 22:8-11
Now I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. When I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who had shown me these things. 9 He said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow bondservant with you and with your brothers, the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.” 10 He said to me, “Don’t seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand. 11 He who acts unjustly, let him act unjustly still. He who is filthy, let him be filthy still. He who is righteous, let him do righteousness still. He who is holy, let him be holy still.”
