If Christ , The Anointed One, the Messiah, be not raised, then all would be meaningless. If Christ be not raised , then men would grope in darkness, seeking a light that would never be. If Christ be not raised, then what would have been the purpose of Him leaving Eternity and Glory where He’s respected and worshipped? If Christ be not raised, then what would be the point of the rest of creation pointing us to the One True God? We could do nothing but cower in fear of the Judge of the Earth, the Judge of All. We could not stand before God, whose Breath is in us all. If Christ be not raised, then would He have drawn His Breath back generations ago? Would the God of Creation put up with a rebellious, sinful people if we were doomed without Hope?
Without God, we would have no breath. Without God, there would no reason or possibility of children. They are known by Him by name before their birth, with ordained purposed. God is the One who commands the rains and snow to fall in their seasons. If Christ be not raised, there would be no mediator between God and man. If Christ be not raised, then the very purpose of His existence on Earth and His death would have been in vain. No High Priest to make atonement for our sins. If Christ be not raised, then we are still doomed to die and experience the Wrath of God toward our sins in Hell. If Christ be not raised, then no soul would ever rest in peace. If Christ be not raised, then there would be no future Resurrection Day, for those who followed the Lord. If Christ be not raised, then we would have no Hope of eternal life and the the eternal destination of both our body and soul would be an eternal body doomed for the eternal fires of Hell, which does not die out. If Christ be not raised, it would have be the end, long ago in some ancient history, BUT Jesus is AlIVE!
So since Christ , The Anointed One, The Messiah Lives, then that means Christ Followers have a job to do. Since Christ, The Anointed One is still King of Kings then the King will be coming again. Since Christ lives, then we must not be idle, but be about our King’s business. Since Christ lives, we will be accountable to the Judge of the Earth, through Jesus Christ. Since Christ is raised, then we have One who has experienced grief, hunger, anxiety, the strength of temptation etc as both fully man and the Son of God.
Since Christ is raised, Resurrection Day for His Followers is coming. Since Christ lives, then we Creation still groans for their Redemption. “ Hosanna,” Lord save and deliver us we cry. Let the full Redemption come to pass, let sin and death end! Since Christ lives, then God is patient, and has a remnant of all generations, His People who have experienced the Light of the World. His Patience today, may be another opportunity for someone to come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Be about the King’s Business today. Share about Jesus Christ today.
Christ isn’t the last name of Jesus , that you are cursing. You are cursing the Name of the Anointed One who came to save you from your sins. Get to know Him today!
John 3:16-21
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born‡ Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. 18 He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God. 19 This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light, for their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does evil hates the light and doesn’t come to the light, lest his works would be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.”
1 Corinthians 15:12- 28
12 Now if Christ is preached, that he has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, neither has Christ been raised. 14 If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith also is in vain. 15 Yes, we are also found false witnesses of God, because we testified about God that he raised up Christ, whom he didn’t raise up if it is true that the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead aren’t raised, neither has Christ been raised. 17 If Christ has not been raised, your faith is vain; you are still in your sins. 18 Then they also who are fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If we have only hoped in Christ in this life, we are of all men most pitiable.
20 But now Christ has been raised from the dead. He became the first fruit of those who are asleep. 21 For since death came by man, the resurrection of the dead also came by man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then those who are Christ’s at his coming. 24 Then the end comes, when he will deliver up the Kingdom to God the Father, when he will have abolished all rule and all authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy that will be abolished is death. 27 For, “He put all things in subjection under his feet.”✡ But when he says, “All things are put in subjection”, it is evident that he is excepted who subjected all things to him. 28 When all things have been subjected to him, then the Son will also himself be subjected to him who subjected all things to him, that God may be all in all.
